Samsung: Iron Man version of Galaxy S6 Edge coming soon

How will the Galaxy S6 Edge look in Iron Man red and gold?

Samsung is expected to soon introduce an Iron Man version of its Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone. A tweet from the Samsung Electronics account earlier today shows what figures to be the box for a limited edition handset.

Given that "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" is entering its third week at the box office we might expect Samsung to pull the trigger on the variant in short order. Waiting too long could result in lost interest and/or cannibalized sales.With nary a detail to be found we're told only that it's "coming soon" and that availability could vary by market. The tweet comes on the heels of aKorea Herald report that the Iron Man edition would arrive in the coming weeks.

Samsung and Marvel have been quite cozy this year, having partnered in number of collaborations.Galaxy Note 4 owners can claim some limited edition cases; a Battle for the Avengers Tower experience is available for the Gear VR headset.

Will Iron Man be the only Avenger with a special-edition smartphone?

It is not clear if Iron Man is the only superhero to see his likeness emblazoned on aSamsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Additionally, we don't know if there will be Marvel-based variations of the standard Galaxy S6.
